are currently investigating the possibility of reusing waste
products from lime manufacturing.
The initial feasibility study into the delivery of Lime Kiln Dust (LKD) as a raw material for cement clinker manufacture has confirmed both dilute and dense phase pneumatic and slurry pumping. Initial analysis shows we could recycle around 30 per cent of our LKD, which will greatly assist with our endeavours towards improved sustainability.
Recycling of large volumes of water occurs through the wetland that has been specifically developed for this purpose. Substantial volumes of water that is used to pump shellsand to the site is retrieved and then returned to the ocean at Woodman Point (pictured).
