CEMS Data

Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) describes the instrumentation that monitors and records emissions from our stacks. The monitoring and reporting process involves many stages of data transfer from the stack analysers, to the process control systems, to the reporting software, before being passed to this public website as a live feed. Each stage is a necessary step in presenting the data in an easily interpreted format.

Whilst CEMS monitoring captures many stack qualities the data displayed on these web pages relates to stack particulate mass concentration and stack particulate mass flow rate. These two data sets are presented and should be interpreted together to get a full understanding of the possible impact an emission incident may have. Your feedback on how easily this data is understood is welcome.

Kiln 5 Shutdown

A planned maintenance shut down on kiln 5 has commenced and will continue for the next 15 days (until approximately 23 May). Due to the nature of the work that needs to be completed there may be an increase in noise and dust from the site. A management plan is in place to help mitigate possible impacts.
