Update on Odour Neutralisation Trial at Munster

Cockburn Cement Munster submitted a works approval to the DWER in September 2018 to conduct an Odour Neutralisation Trial over the summer period to establish if there is a way of reducing the impact on local residents’ amenity from odours that have been noted around the Munster plant.

Approval from DWER for the Odour Neutralisation Trial is still pending. Cockburn Cement will not proceed with the Odour Neutralisation Trial without the approval from DWER.

Cockburn Cement will update the community via the community website when a response from DWER is received regarding the approval status of the works approval.

Fact sheets on the Odour Neutralising Trial, along with other information about Cockburn Cement’s environmental improvements can be found at here .

The initial proposed timeline for the Odour Neutralisation Trial has been left on the project timeline to explain the different stages of the trial, but it is important to note that the dates no longer apply.

Further information regarding DWER can be found at www.dwer.wa.gov.au
