Cockburn Cement has sought a judicial review of two elements of the new Munster operating licence which it believes cannot be practically and technically achieved within the timeframes that have been set by DWER.
Cockburn Cement is not opposing the intent of the two conditions in the Licence, rather it is concerned about the practical and technical ability for the conditions to be successfully completed within the timeframes required by the Minister’s Appeal Determination.
Cockburn Cement is not seeking to have the term of the licence extended beyond the current five year term set by DWER.
The company has commenced implementing all elements of the Licence in order to meet the new conditions as set out in the Minister’s Appeal Determination.
