Community Investment Applications Open

The 2020 Community Investment Program is still open for submissions until 30 November.

Cockburn Cement has been a long-time supporter of local community groups, charities, educational programs and sporting organisations.

One of the local community groups and initiatives supported by our investment program is the Cockburn Cobras Football Club.

As well as being a Club sponsor for many years, Cockburn Cement was the major sponsor for the Cockburn Football Club (CFC) reunion match held on 29 August.

Prior to their relocation to Davilak Oval, in the early 2000s, the team was known as the Cockburn Cement Football Club which is one of the many names the Club has gone by in its long history.

The special 50th Anniversary reunion match marked CFC’s greatest victory – winning the 1970 league premiership as the Cockburn East Fremantle Football Club.

The reunion was a great event with many past members and players coming to mark the occasion. See Fremantle Herald article for more information on the anniversary.

Now more than ever we need to support local community groups, so they can continue the important work they do in the local area. Cockburn Cement’s Community Investment Program is open for submissions and local groups and organisations are urged to apply.

If you’re interested in learning more about our Community Investment Program, or would like an application form please email community@cockburncement.com.au.
