Cockburn Cement Limited (CCL) continues to monitor COVID-19 updates and is making operational decisions as the situation evolves.
At this stage the Cockburn Cement’s operations will remain open as we are classified as an essential service provider to the Water Corporation for ongoing municipal water supply as well as providing materials to the construction and resources industries.
Our key operational personnel are continuing to work, so long as they are not in a high-risk category for their own personal health or that they have potentially been exposed to the virus. Non-operational staff are continuing to work from home.
The health and safety of our staff, contractors and the public remains our number one priority. All decisions are being made to keep our team and the community safe, in line with general guidelines and directives from the Government and Health Department.
As a precautionary measure we have had to delay upcoming tours and access to our sites.
Tours will be recommenced or rescheduled when we feel it is safe to do so.
We encourage local residents to use the community hotline to raise any concerns they may have. Please do not visit site, the Munster site is now a secured site and unauthorised visitors will not be permitted to enter the premises.
We also wish to remind you that our community investment program is currently accepting applications. Please contact us for more information.
As a proud Australian-owned company employing approximately 1,500 people nationally, we are committed to continuing our operations in the interests of our staff and our customers, particularly those in the construction and mining industries. We are all focused on maintaining operations for the benefit of the local, state and national economy.
These are uncertain and challenging times for us all, we wish you and your families well and hope you all stay well.
